Carl | Relationship counselling & coaching

My name is Carl. I have been a counsellor for 13 years and a coach for 16 years. My work has covered private sessions, group work and during Covid-19 some work over the phone. Primarily I attempt to build a good rapport with people by establishing trust and safety plus being professional, relaxed and conversational.

I help people with relationship issues including relationship anxiety, communication challenges, infidelity, intimacy issues.

Over my time as a counsellor I have honed my ability to connect and tune in to others to provide a space for self-awareness and self expression. By doing this I help people to manage or resolve issues.

Trained in Narrative Therapy I listen attentively to a person’s problem story searching for stories that are exceptions to the problem.

I work to help individuals and couples design their own map for making progress, and to navigate the minefield of social pressures, financial expectations and prescribed ways of living that do not fit with what they are really passionate about.

Following an exploration of a person’s internal and external world I can offer practical tools and resources to foster ways of being that positively reflect who they are and what they are capable of; to improve their sense of purpose and meaning in life.

I’m driven to assist people and couples to flourish, prosper, and meet life’s challenges with confidence.
