Sarel – Registered Counsellor in Hamilton offering face-to-face support for trauma, relationship and sexual abuse, career and general mental health concerns. Using CBT, Person-Centred and Narrative Therapy, alongside Māori supervision and Te Whare Tapa Whā, Sarel provides a safe, welcoming space to explore emotions, build resilience, and support your journey toward healing and personal growth.

I offer in-person counselling for individuals and couples from a cozy boathouse studio in central Whangarei, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian. My therapy style is solution focused CBT mixed with other styles I find useful in personal growth. My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.

In life and in relationships we can all have times that are more challenging and painful than others and couples counselling can provide a safe space to work through those seasons. I am a couples counsellor who is committed to providing that safe and confidential environment where individuals and couples can feel heard and validated while working through their pain and struggles without judgement.
