My name is Shanti and I have been a therapist for more than 20 years. I am a full accredited member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and a Registered Practitioner Member of the Terence Watts BWRT Institute (UK) (Brain Working Recursive Therapy) Level 1 and Level 2. I have worked with couples and individuals on issues related to relationship challenges, mental health; anxiety, stress, PTSD, grief, trauma and sleep deprivation. I use an eclectic approach in helping you achieve your goals and outcomes.

I offer in-person counselling for individuals and couples from a cozy boathouse studio in central Whangarei, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian. My therapy style is solution focused CBT mixed with other styles I find useful in personal growth. My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.
