Kia ora, I am an experienced Counsellor and Group Facilitator that has been involved in clinical work for the past 10+ years. I enjoy working alongside couples who are navigating major life and relationship transitions, coping with mental health challenges in their relationship, or seeking greater self-awareness.

Juan is a counsellor and therapeutic coach who integrates (relationship) counselling and coaching within the same journey. He supports clients and couples to explore past and present experiences through counselling, while using neuro-based therapeutic coaching to focus on present and future goals. His approach combines emotional insight, nervous system regulation, and practical strategies to support healthier relationships, resilience, and sustainable change.

I offer in-person counselling for individuals and couples from a cozy boathouse studio in central Whangarei, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian. My therapy style is solution focused CBT mixed with other styles I find useful in personal growth. My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.
