Penelope is a Registered Social Worker and Somatic Therapist supporting couples experiencing communication breakdown, emotional distance, conflict cycles, trust ruptures, and the strain of life transitions. Her work integrates evidence-based therapy with somatic and nervous system approaches to support reconnection, emotional safety, and lasting change.

I offer in-person counselling for individuals and couples from a cozy boathouse studio in central Whangarei, also worldwide online counselling in English, Swedish and Estonian. My therapy style is solution focused CBT mixed with other styles I find useful in personal growth. My areas of interest include couples therapy, migration and cultural issues, stress and anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, communication difficulties and self-esteem concerns.

I have been a Registered Psychologist for over 30 years; I am a parent of three adult daughters and a grandparent of two little boys. I am very experienced at parenting and dealing with behavioural issues. As well as helping parents with behavioural issues I can also help with sleep patterns and dependencies. I specialise in anxiety and panic attacks, and I have developed resources to manage this. I am very experienced in couples counselling & relationship issues. iI can help with communication issues.

Kia ora, I'm an Italian therapist and I offer supervision for professionals and trauma specialised therapy for adults and couples. Sessions can be held in English, Spanish, French and Italian.
