Introduction

Couples or Marriage Preparation

Take the First Step

Ready to turn the page? You don’t have to figure this out in the dark. Book a free, confidential 15 minute consultation and let’s start rebuilding today.

Our Path Forward

When things are tense, even simple conversations can feel like walking through a minefield. If you and your partner are feeling distant, trapped in the same exhausting loops, or wondering how to find your way back to each other—you are not alone.

Relationships don't come with a manual. Hitting a wall is completely normal, but it doesn't mean you're broken. It usually just means you’ve outgrown your old ways of connecting, and it's time to build something better with much broader and enriched perspectives.

As your counsellor, I don’t take sides. My only client is your relationship - something I learnt through personal and professional experience. I provide a warm, calm, and entirely judgment-free space where both of you will feel truly heard. Together, we’ll look past the surface bickering, discover what you both actually need, and get you pulling in the same direction again.

We won’t just sit and talk about your problems. We’re going to roll up our sleeves and build practical, real-world tools to handle conflict, restore trust, and spark intimacy.

Because every couple is unique, I don't do cookie-cutter therapy. I blend powerful, evidence-based methods to fit your exact dynamic:

  • Gottman & Imago: To cool down heated arguments and help you truly hear and respect each other.
  •  Developmental & META Frameworks Models: To pinpoint where you're stuck and map a clear way out.
  • Couples Ikigai Therapy: To look beyond daily friction and uncover your shared reason for being - aligning your passions, strengths, and future goals as a team.
  • Advanced Psychology (Human Givens, Positive Psychology, CBT, DBT, and Narrative): To heal old hurts and ditch the blame game for good.
  • Proactive Marriage Preparation: To help engaged couples build concrete toolkits for the future - aligning expectations on finances, settling down, personal needs, cultural differences, family, and communication before saying "I do.”

Divorce, Separation or Breakup

Ending a relationship is heavy, and it is completely okay if you don't have it all figured out right now. Whether you are deciding if it's time to part ways, navigating a divorce, or trying to heal from a painful breakup—your feelings are valid.

You don't have to carry this immense weight alone - anotehr imporatnt thing I have learnt.

I provide a compassionate, warm, and entirely judgment-free space to help you catch your breath find your footing and discover new ways of seeing.

  • For Couples: I act as a calming, neutral guide or mediator. We focus on constructive communication, healthy boundaries, and finding amicable ways forward without the exhausting conflict.

  • For Individuals: This is your personal sanctuary – something I genuinely empathise with and understand. Together, we will gently process the grief, untangle the complex emotions, and rediscover who you are. And where you want to be.

We won’t just dwell on the pain. We will actively create real-life tools to manage stress, handle tough decisions, and protect your mental well-being.

Every transition is unique, so I tailor our sessions using proven, evidence-based methods:

  • Amicable Transition Tools: To handle difficult co-parenting primal human needs or structural changes smoothly.
  •  Advanced Psychology (CBT, DBT, Deep Relaxation and Mindfulness Techniques as well as Narrative): To calm the inner critic and gently process emotional trauma.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy: To rebuild your confidence, sense of belonging and map out a meaningful, hopeful, clear and sensible path forward.

You deserve a future that feels peaceful and secure. If you are ready to move past the hurt and invest in your healing, I am right here to guide you through every single step.

Online therapy

I offer online counseling via Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. Although I prefer face-to-face therapy, sometimes circumstances may require sessions to take place via video. Multiple links can be sent to invite all those involved in the counselling process or for a brief attendance. The cost of the session could then be reduced by $15 to $20.

Specialisations and Expertises

As a relationship therapist, I focus on the patterns and cycles between partners rather than blaming individuals. My approach is pluralistic, meaning I believe there is no single "right" way to understand relationship problems and no one therapy model that works for every couple.

Rather than relying on one method such as Gottman or Imago Therapy, I work collaboratively with you to identify the goals, strategies, and approaches that best fit your relationship. You and your partner are the experts on your own lives, and therapy is tailored to your unique needs and strengths.

I may draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, and systemic approaches, adapting them as therapy progresses.

This Pluralistic Approach Entails:

Collaborative Therapy
We regularly review how therapy is working and adjust our focus based on your feedback, ensuring sessions remain relevant and effective.

Both Perspectives Matter
Rather than deciding who is right or wrong, we explore each partner's experience and how differing perspectives can be understood and integrated.

Building on Strengths
Alongside addressing difficulties, we identify and strengthen the existing resources in your relationship, such as resilience, shared values, humour, and commitment.

Because therapy is tailored to your goals and circumstances, the number of sessions varies depending on the issues being addressed. Suggested/approximate timeframes are included below:

Common Areas of Support

  • Infidelity & Addictions – Rebuilding trust, restoring accountability, and addressing betrayal trauma (20–40+ sessions).
  • Intimacy & Connection – Reconnecting emotionally and physically, and moving beyond the "roommate" dynamic (10–20 sessions).
  • Communication & Listening – Developing healthier communication patterns and reducing conflict (6–12 sessions).
  • Manipulation & Control – Assessing power imbalances and prioritising safety where coercive control is present.
  • Conflict & Arguments – Learning de-escalation skills and addressing the deeper needs beneath recurring disputes (12–20 sessions).
  • Unresolved Past Issues – Understanding how past experiences and attachment patterns affect current relationships (16–26+ sessions).
  • Teamwork & Parenting – Strengthening co-parenting and creating a consistent approach to family life (8–12 sessions).
  • Blended & Extended Families – Clarifying roles, boundaries, and expectations within complex family systems (12–24 sessions).
  • Separation & Divorce – Supporting respectful separation and healthy co-parenting arrangements (12–24+ sessions).
  • Reconciliation After Separation – Exploring whether rebuilding the relationship is possible and sustainable (12–24 sessions).
  • Marriage Preparation – Structured discussions around finances, household roles, intimacy, parenting, and future planning (4–8 sessions).

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Lack of connection, care, compassion, commitment, effort, consideration, intimacy, enthusiasm. passion and romantic intensity
  • Separation and divorce, infidelity, cheating, honesty, jealousy and abuse
  • Poor communication and teamwork, parenting skills, poor listening, constant criticism, repeating unresolved past arguments
  • Manipulation, control, blame, lack of responsibility and unrealistic expectations
  • External issues: work, finances, addiction, in-laws, blended family social life
